Personalised L.A.S Vino Albino PNO 2020 13.5% 750ml
The fruit was hand picked and tasted incredible with barely anything removed when bunch and berry sorting. The majority of this wine (80%) is pinot noir, whole bunch pressed, naturally fermented in older oak barrels, left to go through a partial malolactic fermentation and then matured for 10 months with fortnightly lees stirring. The chardonnay was whole bunch pressed naturally fermented and went through a full malolactic fermentation with regular lees stirring.
Expert Review:
Stuart Knox- 95 points, Onion-skin to rose-gold colour. Intriguing nose with ginger, cherries and vanilla flowers lifting from the glass. The palate is quite full, with a richness that coats and lingers long. Honey, ginger and sweet spices all add complexing layers. A winter rosé that could be enjoyed with fuller dishes than one might expect.
The aim is to make absolutely delicious, hand crafted wines that are slightly alternative in the way they are made or with the fruit that is used. Our mantra is minimal intervention and where possible we aim to work with growers using sustainable vineyard methods. There are approximately 200 dozen of each wine made.
