Personalised Mt. Brave Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 14.5% 750ML
Founded in 2007, Mt. Brave is a tribute to the pioneering spirit of those who settled the rugged terrain of Mount Veeder during the 1800s and pays homage to the native Wappos, “the brave ones,” who were the original inhabitants of this extraordinary place.
Mt. Brave produces staggeringly intense and complex wines from its high-altitude estate vineyard in the Mount Veeder AVA located in the Mayacamas Mountains. First planted to grapes in the 1860s, this wild and isolate winegrowing region features panoramic views and some of the lowest yields in all of the Napa Valley. Despite being the largest AVA in Napa Valley, Mount Veeder produces less than 2% of all its wines.

Showcasing the lovely freshness of high-elevation Mt Veeder grapes. Vivid boysenberry and mulberry fruits give way to mountain herbs, dusty minerals and rich toasty cedar. A compact wine revealing black-fruited flavours and savoury herbal nuances alongside sculpted tannins that are pixelated and mouthcoating. An impressively long finish of iron shavings, baked agave and dried chaparral.

Very dark and winey in profile, with steeped plum, blackberry and boysenberry fruit flavors laced with licorice snap, bramble and apple wood. A tarry note underscores the finish, while the fruit drips. A big wine balanced by inner purity. Best from 2024 through 2038.

Blackberries and black currants with grape skin, lead pencil and pine cone. Full-bodied with round tannins and juicy fruit. Tamed tannins. Bright finish. Classy and authentic. Beautiful now, but will age beautifully.
