Personalised Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 14.5% 750ml
Expert Review:
James Suckling-95 points, This is aromatic with fresh herbs, such as basil and sweet tobacco. Medium to full body with lead-pencil character, creamy tannins and a long, bright finish. Dusty at the end with some mahogany. Fine, polished furniture-like undertone to this. Drink or hold.
Freemark Abbey’s history begins in 1886 when Josephine Tychson, the first female vintner in California, built the original redwood cellar on which the estate sits. The winery is best known for crafting classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon from pedigreed sites, including the iconic Bosché and Sycamore vineyards. Freemark Abbey competed in “The Judgement of Paris” blind tasting in 1976 and was the only winery with both a red and a white wine represented.
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
