Mirella Buscemi, born near Syracuse, was inspired initially by her grandparents, and later by her now husband, Alberto Graci, who in 2016 gifted her a 1.5 ha, bush-trained, 90-year-old, vineyard in the Contrada of Tartaraci, situated above Bronte at 980 m.a.s.l. on the west face of Mt Etna. Mirella crafts her reds from the ‘field blend’ of nerello mascalese and granaccia (grenache).
