Palate:The palate is a textural delight with a great depth of flavour - time on ferment lees has provided an attractive creamy character to the wine. Use of French oak provides a touch of astringency on the finish. A rounded and complete wine, crisp acidity cleans the finish and provides great length.
Region Notes: The fruit is from 50-year-old vines in a single vineyard in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale owned by the Brini family. This site is cooler than the rest of the Vale making it an ideal sub-region for white varietals so that they can retain more of their natural acidity.

Expert Reviews:

James Halliday-95 Points, From 50yo vines in the sands of Blewitt Springs. 50% was barrel fermented and left on lees for several months, conferring textural detail as much as imparting a chord of authoritative match-struck tension. Brilliant aromas of lemon drop crystals, cheese rind, quince, dried hay and lanolin. The acidity, pungent, juicy and electrifying, towing this very long like an elastic band pulling the saliva from the back of the mouth, unlike most Australian wines that roll across the front. Exceptional, James Halliday Wine Companion 2022, 13 August, 2021
