Personalised Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Syrah 2020 14% 750ml
An impressive drop, the Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Syrah is complex and polished. Bursting with herby, spicy aromas, you can also detect notes of licquorice and black pepper. It tastes of berries red and black, nuts and a hints of graphite. Perfectly paired with a juicy filet mignon.
Tasting Notes: striking deep garnet hue that immediately beckons, this starts out a bit shy. Let it be. Let it breathe. It will then unfurl to reveal a savoury, refined wine. Dark fruit, a dusting of pepper and licorice, mocha, warm earth and Aussie bush aromas. It works off a medium-bodied palate with the most exquisite tannins.

Yabby Lake Vineyard was established by the Kirby family in 1998, in Tuerong, which is located in the northern end of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Over the past decade, the vineyard has built a reputation for chardonnay and pinot noir of great purity and character under its Single Vineyard and Single Block Release labels. Led by winemaker Tom Carson, the Yabby Lake philosophy is to craft wines that speak of our site and the season in which they were grown. It's the attention and care in the vineyard that is most critical to allowing this expression. The producer's vision and dedication has led to some exciting accolades in recent years, including their history-making Block 1 Pinot Noir - which was the first pinot noir ever to win the revered Jimmy Watson Trophy, after 52 years of the award.
