The Syrah and Petite Sirah are from Debos Vineyards, and the Cinsault and Grenache Noir are from Swartland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe nose shows thyme and lavender aromas with a spicy, savoury palate. Vibrant acidity and a red fruit core bring a refreshing length and finish on the palate. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFruit is handpicked, hand-sorted and destemmed into open top fermenters. Aided by gentle pump overs, fermentation is spontaneous and completes within 3 weeks. After 9 months maturation in older 225L French oak barrels, the two components are blended together and bottled.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePetite Sirah is also known as Durif, and it’s important to note that it is a cross between Syrah and Peloursin. It usually has high tannins and acidity with lots of pepper and spice flavours. Not often bottled on its own, but a great blending partner.
